Ethereum whale with a 5-year holding history makes a large transfer: 40,251 ETH flows into the exchange, with an unrealized profit of $200 million
【Crypto World】On-chain data monitoring shows that a whale holding over 100,000 ETH has recently initiated a large-scale transfer operation. The address has transferred a total of 40,251 ETH to exchanges in the past 24 hours, worth approximately $124 million. The largest transfer occurred 1 hour ago, involving 26,000 ETH (about $80.16 million).
This whale’s holding history is quite noteworthy. According to on-chain analysis, five years ago, through an major exchange, the address gradually accumulated 101,000 ETH at an average price of about $660. After five years of market cycle changes, his strategy is now shifting.
From the transfer records, the address has gradually transferred 75,200 ETH to exchanges at an average price of about $3,383, which means floating gains have approached $204.9 million. Notably, the whale still holds a position of 26,000 ETH (about $80.16 million), indicating he has not fully liquidated his holdings and may be observing subsequent market movements.
Such large transfers are often seen by the market as important indicators. The reduction actions of long-term holders may reflect their views on the current price and could also influence market sentiment. Investors should continue to monitor similar on-chain movements as part of their decision-making reference.
