Friends, Merry Christmas🎄. The US stock market is closed today, and the major players in the market are basically on holiday. The true direction is likely to become clear only after liquidity returns post-holiday (expected after the New Year). Enjoy the festivities, relax, and remember that trading is a long-term journey.
🔍 Market Environment
During Christmas, European and American institutions and major investors generally exit the market, leading to very poor market depth. Yesterday (24th), Bitcoin spot ETF experienced a net outflow of about $188.6 million for the fourth consecutive day, and Ethereum ETF also saw nearly $100 million outflow, reflecting this “pre-holiday risk aversion” behavior.
In a low liquidity environment, prices are more easily driven by small amounts of capital. Yesterday, BTC dipped to a low of 86,361, exactly testing the critical support level we previously emphasized. Whether it can hold today will determine the short-term fate of the bulls.
🗺 Key Levels for Today
BTC
Bull-bear dividing line: 87,500; if it holds above, look towards 88,000 → 88,900 → 89,500; if it breaks below, consider a correction to 86,300 → 85,000 → 84,000.
ETH
Bull-bear dividing line: 2,940; if it holds above, look towards 2,950 → 3,000 → 3,025; if it breaks below, consider a correction to 2,900 → 2,886 → 2,855.
In a “holiday mode” market: don’t guess the direction, just respond accordingly, prioritizing risk control over profits.
Position Holders:
Long positions: Use BTC 87,500 and ETH 2,940 as the final trailing stop/exit points. If prices stay above these levels, hold cautiously; if they are effectively broken, consider reducing or exiting positions.
Short positions: When prices rebound to resistance levels (such as BTC 88,900 or ETH 3,025) and show clear signs of resistance, consider holding and observing, but keep positions light.
Wait-and-See:
Holiday market is all about “grinding,” the best choice is to rest. If you’re itching to trade, only do trend-following breakouts, never buy the dip against the trend.
