The indicator consists of two core lines: the Fast Line (K line) and the Slow Line (D line). The K line represents the current closing price’s relative position within the past 14 days’ price range, reacting quickly to market changes; the D line is a smoothed version of the K line, typically set as a 3-period simple moving average, thus responding more slowly.
