Researchers from University College London and the University of Sydney have developed a system of AI agents capable of identifying vulnerabilities in Solidity smart contracts. This innovative architecture functions as an exploit generator, where each agent is responsible for a specific part of the task — from bytecode analysis to vulnerability synthesis and transaction generation.

📈 As a result of the system’s operation, 26 contracts were exploited, potentially yielding a profit of $9.33 million. This event highlights the urgent need to enhance security in DeFi and raises important questions about the real directions AI-generated value might take if not limited to productivity tools alone.
