A trader played people for suckers by closing all of his BTC short orders and shorting ETH again, having lost 43.33 million USD in the past month.
PANews, September 17 - According to on-chain analyst Yu Jin's monitoring, “the trader who went long on ETH and lost 35.84 million USD, then turned to short BTC” has lost another 7.5 million USD in shorting BTC, and today switched targets to short ETH. In just one month, he has lost 43.33 million USD, and there is now less than 1 million USD left in the address.
In August, the trader started going long on ETH, but he didn't wait for the anticipated surge. So, after seeing ETH too weak and stopping loss with a loss of 35.84 million dollars at the beginning of September, he turned around and shorted BTC. As a result, BTC remained very strong and did not drop. His shorting position, which he had held for half a month, finally could not hold on any longer and was completely liquidated early this morning, resulting in a loss of 7.5 million dollars. Now he has returned to ETH, but instead of going long, he is shorting.
He closed all his BTC short positions 7 hours ago and then shorted ETH: now he has shorted 5432 ETH at a price of $4485 (24.5 million USD), with a liquidation price at $4594.
