Objective

This guide will walk you through how to submit an exit request from P2P merchant status and complete the exit process on Gate Web.

Steps

Step 1: Access the P2P Merchant Exit Portal

  1. Navigate to P2P User Center.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Select "P2P Merchant Exit".

Step 2: Submit Exit Request

  1. Click to apply for merchant exit.
  2. The system will automatically check your account for:
    • Open orders
    • Pending disputes
    • Active advertisements
  3. Review the exit process information displayed on the page.
  4. Click "Confirm and Continue" to proceed to the next step.

Step 3: Select Exit Reason

Choose your reason for exiting from the following options:

  1. I no longer wish to engage in P2P trading, though I may return in the future.
  2. I would like to continue P2P trading but need to unlock my funds now.
  3. I need to exit due to a personal emergency.
  4. I'm dissatisfied with the platform's services and plan to leave.
  5. Other reasons [Please specify].

Step 4: Confirm Exit Request Submission

After selecting your reason, a pop-up will appear confirming that your request has been successfully submitted.

Step 5: Monitor Exit Progress

Your application status will be updated to one of the following:

  • Pending Review: Review is expected to be completed within 1-5 working days. During this status, you cannot post new advertisements.
  • Exit in Progress: View the expected completion date and deposit return details.
  • Review Failed: You can re-initiate the exit request process from this status.

Step 6: Cancel Exit Request (Optional)

If your status is "Pending Review", you can:

  1. Cancel your exit request.
  2. Restore your merchant status.
  3. Continue posting advertisements.

  • If you have deposited a security fund as a merchant, the deposit will be refunded via the original payment method after your exit request is approved. The refund processing time may vary based on specific circumstances.
  • If your account has any risk issues or irregularities, the P2P Manager will assist you in resolving them before processing your exit request.
  • Once the exit request is approved, your merchant privileges will be terminated, and your account will revert to standard user status.
