Recent hardware wallets are out of stock again, and there are a bunch of people rushing to buy in the group, but there are more phishing links than actual stock… To put it simply, security is not just about “buying a device.” When assets are small, I think it’s better not to turn yourself into an operations manager: hardware wallets are sufficient, but you have to accept that they are just a key, and if lost or forgotten, you’re still vulnerable. Once the scale increases a bit, multi-signature is like carrying two spare keys; it’s troublesome, but it raises the cost of “slip of the hand.” For larger assets or family members who can take over, the social recovery method is more like the redundancy of my phone’s cloud photo album: not used daily, but can save your life in an emergency, provided you trust those few people. Anyway, don’t leverage your confidence in “I’m smart and won’t fall for it,” as too many people have recently experienced a crash.
